Open Radio rules

Русский · Draft, revision 1. A lawyer for the country where the service runs must review it before publication.

What this is

Anyone can take a free frequency and broadcast music and voice. Anyone can turn the knob and listen. The service is free and provided “as is”, with no guarantee of availability or sound quality.

Who can broadcast

Only people aged 18 or older. By going on air you confirm your age and accept these rules. Anyone can listen.

The host is responsible for the air

Everything heard on your frequency is your responsibility, both voice and music. Play only what you have the right to broadcast: your own music, freely licensed music, or music you hold the rights to. The owner of the service does not choose, listen to or record the air and is not responsible for its content to the extent permitted by applicable law. mp3 files are not uploaded anywhere: they play from your browser.

Not allowed on air

Everyone sees the station and track names — the same rules apply to them.

Reports and bans

A listener who has stayed on a frequency for at least a few seconds can press REPORT. The first report gives the station a yellow card. When two different listeners report it within a week, the air is closed for the host for good. A ban closes only going on air: you can still listen to the radio. Reports from brand-new visitors are accepted but do not count — so one person can't ban anyone from several windows.

The radio and Kontakt are one service: the owner can close both the air and calls at once. A ban is tied to the browser through a persistent cookie. Evading a ban is not allowed. If you were banned by mistake, write to the owner of the service.

What data the service has

If something happened

If someone threatens people on air or you know about a crime, contact the police. If you are having a hard time, call a helpline in your country.
